Study of pigmented UV－curable coatings

Factors which influenced curing velocity of ultraviolet curing coating are discussed including photoinitiator, thickness of coating film , monomer , pigment． It has been proven that there exists an optimum content for a given photoinitiator to get the highest curing rate． Curing rate will decrease as the content of pigment increase． The thicker coating film is, the lower curing rate is． A monomer with multifunction can fasten curing process if the concentration of monomer in the system is not too high．
