Determination of Enantiomer in Naproxen and its Capsules by HPLC

OBJECTIVE To discuss on enantiomer content in Naproxen and its capsules. METHODS The content of naproxen enantiomer was determined by HPLC method using chiral column. RESULTS The resolution of L-naproxen and D-naproxen was good. The solution was stable in 12 hours. The contents of naproxen enantiomer in four batches samples were between 0. 5% to 0. 7%. CONCLUSION The method is convenient,accurate and sensitive to be used for determination of enantiomer content in naproxen and its capsules.
