Clinical observation on persistent minipump infusion of remifentanil and small dose of propofol for indolent enteroscopy.

Objective To observe the anesthetic effect and safty of persistent minipump infusion of remifentanil and small dose of propofol for indolent enteroscopy.Methods One hundred and fifty patients were randomly divided into 3 groups with 50 patients in each group.Patients in group R were given with remifentanil,patients in group RP were given with remifentanil and propofol,and patients in group P were given with propofol.Results All patients in each group were satisfactory to the anesthetic effect.The dosage of remifentanil in group RP was less than that of group R(P0.05),while the dosage of propofol in group RP was strikingly less than that of group R(P0.01).The SpO2 in patients of each group was over 98% under oxygen supply.Conclusion The application of remifentanil in indolent enteroscopy is effective and safe as propofol.The combination of remifentanil and propofol can increase the anesthetic effect and strikingly reduce the dosage of each drug.
