Research and analysis on virtual water

As a new viewpoint of water resources in 21 century,the virtual water opens up a new research area to alleviate the pressures on water resources and food security in our country.Based on the analysis of the concept for the virtual water,the author analyses on the virtual water trade,virtual water strategy,water footprint and the virtual water quantification in combination with the status of the study concerned,and then confirms the feasibility of the implementation of the virtual water strategy.Combined with the development of the study on the virtual water in China,the author gives the further study in future.
