Calcified chronic subdural hematoma: a case report.

This report will discuss a case of calcified chronic subdural hematoma, a rare entity, found in a 43-year-old male patient with a four-year history of poorly controlled seizures. After a serial examination upon admission including skull X-rays, computed temography (CT) scan, and a cerebral angiogram, a large, calcified subdural hematoma was discovered over the left fronto-parieto-occipital region. The actual etiology was unclear, and a definite history of antecedent head trauma was not confirmed. The patient is in excellent condition and has made rapid recovery following total evacuation of the hematoma.
