摘要
Over the past few decades, there is an enormous increase in the research on two-dimensional (2D) nanomaterials. These materials are a unique group of nanomaterials that have demonstrated numerous remarkable properties because of its extraordinary advantages such as high surface-to-volume ratio, atomic thickness, and abundant active sites, thus are being investigated for many potential applications. The chapter reviews major advances in photocatalytic and photoelectrocatalytic applications of 2D nanomaterials. We have focused on the most important applications of 2D nanomaterials such as carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) reduction, hydrogen (H 2 ) production, and dye degradation. We have also discussed the general mechanical insights of the photocatalytic and photoelectrocatalytic processes.
