摘要
Abstract Solar driven evaporation induced water‐electricity cogeneration technology is expected to alleviate the worldwide scarcity of freshwater and electricity. However, the contradiction between thermal localization and salt accumulation in conventional evaporators limits their further development. In this paper, a thermoresponsive smart evaporator with a dynamic evaporation function is prepared to optimize water‐electricity cogeneration. This evaporator effectively balances the conflict between thermal localization and salt accumulation. The optimized evaporator exhibits a maximum evaporation rate of 3.66 kg m −2 h −1 , an evaporation efficiency of 96.1%, and a continuous voltage output. The development of thermoresponsive smart evaporator provides a theoretical basis for designing novel smart evaporators for water and electricity cogeneration.
