Tests on Prestressed Concrete Embedded Cylinder Pipe

This paper presents the results of the first full-scale combined internal pressure and external load tests ever made on 60-in. prestressed concrete embedded cylinder pipe, designed according to A WWA Specification C301. The structural behavior of this pipe under combined loads is reported, based on the development of stress cracks in the concrete and on strain recordings from SR-4 strain gages.
