Rhodamine-based turn-on fluorescent and colorimetric chemosensor for selective Pb2+ detection: insights from crystal structure, molecular docking, real sample analysis, and logic gate applications

A highly selective Schiff base fluorescence turn-on chemosensor for Pb 2+ ions was constructed using rhodamine with a LOD of 3.77 nM. DFT simulations, molecular docking and real-world applications proving its environmental monitoring potential.
