The A-site and oxygen-vacancy ordering in Sr 2 Nd 2 Zn 2 O 7 are inextricably linked, disrupting one would thus destroy the other. This compound is a mixed oxide ionic and electronic conductor, exhibiting dominant ionic conduction at elevated temperatures.
