Insights into Processes of Visual Perception from Studies in the Olfactory System

Abstract The certainty of ideas is not the foundation of the certainty of perception but is, rather, based on it-in that it is perceptual experience which gives us the passage from one moment to the next and thus realizes the unity of time. In this sense all consciousness is perceptual, even the consciousness of ourselves.
