In situ preparation of a recyclable hydrogel-based photocatalyst and its application in sunlight-promoted photodegradation of eosin Y

A facile method is provided to synthesize a hydrogel-based photocatalyst via in situ generation of Zn–Cu–S particles in the channels of the hydrogel. The photocatalyst shows excellent stability and reusability in the photodegradation of eosin Y.
