摘要
Impending decades, advancement in chemically improvised carbon nanotubes (CNTs) is unimaginable. It's improving day by day. CNTs allotropes of carbon are cylindrical molecules made of a hexagonal arranged hybridized carbon atoms, which may be divided as single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) and by rolling up, we get multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs). CNT is chemically modified origination of carboxylic acid functionalities by implanting polystyrene and octadecylamine on that by cutting processes and purifying, carboxylic units were formed at open ends of the molecules. Effluents that are hazardous to environment contain numerous organic and inorganic contaminants, which are natures poisonous or carcinogenic, among these dyes, heavy metals are the real threat. Magnetic CNT and CNTs-based buckypaper (BP) membranes for dyes and heavy metals erasure are treading research now. These are due to their unique strengths such as, adsorption capability, high porosity, they gained importance. Unique properties and improved features create potential CNTs used as a supplementary material for membrane separation. Diverse fabrication perspective for the evolution of CNT-based BP membranes and magnetic-CNTs are immensely discussed here, astonishing separation performance with ultra-high water flux, CNTs based BP-membranes and magnetic-CNTs has a immense latent for the major advanced in applied science for water treatment in subsequent succeeding.
