Traditional Chinese Medicine and Thai Public Health

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is an important and popular alternative medicine in Thailand. There are many health problems because the western medicine cannot solve the whole problem or illness of Thai people. Therefore, the alternative medicines are the choice for complementary health seeking in Thailand for example Thai traditional medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine. The objectives of this paper aim to present the experiences of TCM training course in China and explain the philosophy and principles of TCM based on Taoism and Confucianism. The fundamentals of TCM are the concept of holism, the syndrome differentiation and treatment, and Chinese culture. TCM was commonly used the acupuncture, Chinese massage (Tui-na), Chinese herbal, and Wushu for disease treatment and exercise in Thailand.
