The method of electrospinning in the fabrication of cellulose acetate(CA) nanofibers is not only to keep the excellent chemical resistance and biodegradable performance of CA nanofiber, but also bring the remarkable features of the fiber, such as high specific surface area, high porosity and quantum efficiency. In this review, the latest research progress of electrospun CA nanofibers is summarized, and the preparation methods, formation mechanisms and influence factors of several new kinds of nanofiber structures are intro.duced. In addition, the applications of CA nanofibers in absorption and filtration fields are overviewed. Fi.nally, the prospect of electrospun CA nanofiber is described.
