Clinical Evaluation of Huazheng Injection Therapy in sick sinus syndrome(SSS)

Objective to study the therapeutic efficacy of Huazheng injection in SSS and explore new indications of it. Huazheng was a traditional Chinese medicine preduced by our hospital. Methods We prospectively studied 36 cases of SSS treated by Huazheng injection and followed up 0.5-3.5 years. Sinus node function was evaluated by ECG. 24-hour Holier monitoring and transesophageal electrophysiologic examination. Results All cases had significant effects after 1- 4 courses of treatment Syncope disappeared. Average HR increased 12 beats/min,total HR of 24hs also increased obviously. SNRT. SNRTc and SACT all improved. Conclusion Huazheng injection could increase HR. improve sinus node function and decrease syncope attack, so it was a better supplementary ding for SSS.
