This report describes the functional system of Ginsenoside Rg1 and Rb1 to resist exercise-induced central fatigue through the detection of contents of central neurotransmitter 5-HT、GABA、DA and Ach in the exercise-induced fatigue rats.In the experiment,forty male SD rats were divided into 4 groups randomly: Ginsenoside Rg1 group,Rb1 group,Model group and Control group.The rats in Ginsenoside Rg1 group and Rb1 group were filled the stomach with Ginsenoside Rg1 and Rb1(50 mg/kg) once a day while the rats in Model and Control groups were filled the stomach with normal saline of the same quantity.After one hour the rats of Ginsenoside Rg1、Rb1 and Model groups did treadmill exercise with medium intensity for 20 minutes at the speed of 15 m/min and with a slope of 0 degree,and after 40-mimute break did it for another 20minutes.Fourteen days later,contents of central neurotransmitter 5-HT、GABA、DA and Ach had been rested.The results showed that both Ginsenoside Rg1 and Rb1 could effectively reduce the contents of 5-HT and GABA,and improve the contents of DA and Ach in hypothalamus.As compared with Ginsenoside Rg1,Ginsenoside Rb1 demonstrated better performance in terms of reducing the content of 5-HT、GABA and improving the content of DA,while the effect of improving the content of Ach was relatively less.We drew to the conclusion theat Ginsenoside Rg1 and Rb1 could improve the disorder of central neurotransmitter after exercise-induced fatigue in different level and different targets to achieve the desired effect of ridding exercise-induced fatigue.But the effect of Ginsenoside Rb1 is better.
