Study on Increasing Adhesion of Titanium Nitride Coatings to LY12 Alloy by Ion Plating

On the LY12 alloy, a study of increasing adhesion of TiN coatings to metal substrate, which deposited used by ion plating, has been performed. Through the technology of surface treatment before the plating and the main technology about controlling burning off temperature, plating transient coating, increasing deposition time during the plating, we get the satisfying TiN coatings with increased adhesion.
