Objective To study the feasibility and surgery experience of laparoscopic total cyst excision with Roux-en-Y hepatoenterostomy for choledochal cyst in children.Methods From July 2010 to September 2011,6 patients in children with choledochal cyst who had undergone laparoscopic total cyst excision with Roux-en-Y hepatoenterostomy were analyzed retrospectively;The diagnosis was made based on the color doppler and MRCP.The patients were not operated until temperature and leukocyte of blood were normal.Results 5 patients successfully underwent laparoscopy and recovered soon.The operating time was between 2.5 hours and 5.5 hours.Amount of bleeding was less than 20ml.1 patient was transformed to open operation for the difficulty of cyst excision.Conclusion Laparoscopic total cyst excision with Roux-en-Y hepatoenterostomy for choledochal cyst in children is feasible and safe with advantages of minimal injury,less bleeding,and sooner recovery.The operaters must use laparoscopic skillfully and master the characteristic of the laparoscopic operate in children.
