Preparation of Carbon-Carbon Composite Dental Implants with Hydroxyapatite and Low Temperature Pyrolytic Carbon Caotings

The dental implants are prepared by carbon-carbon composite.The surface of carbon-carbon composite dental implants are coated with low temperature pyrolytic carbon to avoid the dissemination of carbonaceous chippings in the surrounding tissues. Synthetic hydroxyapatite is coated on the sur- face of low temperature pyrolytic carbon to enhance the bioactivity of low temperature pyrolytic car- bon.
