In the case of low-temperature waste heat (below 350℃) recovery, it proves to be improper to use water as working fluid circulated in the Rankine Cycle, however, Organic Rankine Cycles (ORCs) ultilizing low boiling point organic fluids own the merit of high energy recovery efficiency. Organic Rankine Cycles can be categorized into sub-critical and supercritical power generation cycle. Better temperature matching performance in the waste heat recovery steam generator and higher exergy efficiency can be obtained through supercritical Organic Rankine Cycle.
