Analysis on the Influence of Structural Parameters on Lubrication Performance for Piston Ring

In order to analyze the influences of structural parameters on the lubrication performances for piston ring,a hydrodynamic lubrication model based on hydrodynamic theory was developed.Then the influence comparison of different structural parameters on lubrication performances for piston ring was made.The results show that the structural parameters have greatly influence on lubrication performance,so all effect factors should be considered when the piston ring is designed.The conclusions drawn from this study will benefit to the process of tribological design and structural parameter optimization of piston ring.
