Progress of study on mono-alkylation of primary amines

In organic synthesis, mono-alkylation of amines is an important kind of reaction. A further well known and common difficulty in synthesis is the prevention of over-alkylation during the conversion of primary to secondary amines because of their highly activity. Therefore, indirect ways are usually used in the mono-alkylation of amines. In this paper, the recent progress of mono-alkylation of amines has been reviewed.
