The vegetation selection and habitat cultivation are determined by the characteristics,the forming mechanism and the ecological features of the water-fluctuation zone,which are of vital importance to the vegetation restoration and reconstruction in the zones of Three Gorges Reservoir area.Present restoration modes are categorized into the water-fluctuation-adaptive mode and the soil-substrate-reinforcement mode in the light of previous studies and achievements in this regard.In consideration of the site condition of vegetation in the zone,an eco-friendly,technically feasible mode of vegetation restoration and reconstruction based on soil stabilization is finally proposed.It is applied to the eco-restoration practice in the river course,and is proved to be of great feasibility and practical value.
