Abstract In this study, the waste shrimp head shell in catering industry was used as raw material to extract chitosan, and the wastewater added with Fe (III) was used as simulated wastewater. The static adsorption experiment was used to analyze the change of absorbance of simulated wastewater after adsorption of Fe (III) by chitosan to explore the optimal adsorption conditions of Fe (III) by chitosan. The results showed that the adsorption rate of chitosan decreased with the increase of Fe (III) concentration in the initial solution, and the initial concentration of Fe (III) was 10-30 μ When the initial concentration increased to 30-60 g/ml, the adsorption rate of chitosan remained almost unchanged μ The adsorption rate decreased gradually at the concentration of 0.5 g/ml; The results showed that the adsorption rate of chitosan for iron ion increased rapidly to 82.32% from pH 1.0 to 2.0, and the lowest adsorption rate was 53.32% at pH 1.0.
