摘要
The pulse propagation in an optical fiber is highly influenced by dispersion and non-linearity. Dispersion length is dependent on the group velocity dispersion (GVD) parameter β2. In this paper we have studied the effect of dispersion on pulse propagationby considering the effect of nonlinearity on β2. The results show that the shape of the pulse is highly influenced by this. The reason for the change in the pulse is due to the change in the dispersion length which results due to change in GVD parameter by considering the nonlinearity.
