Nitrogen nutrition of legumes with special concern to seed yield production

This manuscript reviews about the nitrogen fixation in legumes in relation to their nodulated root respiration. Effect of shade on N2‐fixation, carbon transfer, and distribution of fixed N in plant are also explained. In addition, the inhibitory effect of combined nitrogen on N2‐fixation as well as the significance of its form and application time are discussed.
