摘要
The winding connection method is closely related to the motor performance, and this paper constructs a new type of star-pentagonal composite winding based on the present single winding structure of a five-phase induction motor. Firstly, an analytical method is used to derive the expression for the magnetic potential of the composite winding and to analyse the harmonic distributions of the air gap densities of the two single and composite winding motors at no-load. The currents of five-phase induction motors with star-pentagonal composite windings are then calculated under normal operating conditions as well as under typical fault conditions of the windings. The currents of five-phase induction motors with star-pentagonal composite windings are then calculated for normal operating conditions and for typical fault conditions of the windings. The influence law of different operating conditions on the motor performance of the new composite winding five-phase induction motor is obtained. The results of the study provide a certain reference for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the motor, as well as further fault tolerant control and fault detection.
