Key Technology of Complete Equipment for Fully-Mechanized Top Coal Caving Face with Large Mining Height in Extra-thick Seam

The recoverable reserves in thick and extra-thick coal seams accounts for about 43% of the total recoverable coal reserves in China.The fully-mechanized method with coal caving for large mining height is the development direction of extra-thick coal seam mining technology,which has characteristics of high production,high mechanization,high efficiency and low energy consumption and others.The equipment matching of shearer,hydraulic support and scraper conveyor in fully-mechanized top coal caving face with large mining height and its reliability are key factors for coal mining with safety,high efficiency and high recovery rate.Taking the working face 8105 at Tashan Coal Mine as the engineering background,the paper defined the technical characteristic parameters of the support,shearer and scraper conveyor behind the hydraulic support,and analyzed the key factor which improved the reliability of the equipment.The underground test showed that the average operating rate of the equipment at the fully-mechanized top coal caving face with large mining height 8105 at Tashan Coal Mine reached 92.1%,the recovery rate at the face was 88.9%,and the raw coal produced at the face 8105 in 2011 reached 10.849 Mt,which achieved the objective of 10 Mt coal produced at the fully-mechanized top coal caving face with large mining height using domestic equipment in a year.
