Objective To explore the IL-10 and IFN-γ Production in Supernatant of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus if Interleukin-12 added in vitro. Methods Using ELISA to measure the IL-10 and IFNγ levels in supernatant of PBMC from SLE patients and normal controls respectively, when IL-12 was added or not to the culture system. Results IL-12 up-regulated the IFN-γ level and down-regulated the IL-10 level in supernatant of SLE PBMC.Conclusion In vitro, IL-12 can rectify some abnormal cytokine phonotype in SLE.
