There are two pathways of Wnt signaling: b-catenin dependent canonical and independent non-canonical pathways.Wnt/ b-catenin canonical pathway play an important role in modulating osteogenetic differentiation,osteoblast proliferation,and bonematrix formation.More recently,non-canonical Wnt signaling was shown to play a role in bone formation,which increase osteoblasgenesis through attenuating adipogenesis of mesenchymal stem cells in bone marrow.In addition, Wnt inhibitory factor also take part in the development for osteoblasgenesis.
