Observability Conditions For Angles-only Tracking*

This paper addresses the state-observability issue for the problem of three-dimensional angles-only tracking of a moving, possibly accelerating target by a moving observer. Necessary and sufficient conditions for observability are rigorously established. It is also shown that other existing observability criteria are special cases of these conditions.
