摘要
Sodium ion batteries (SIBs) are a promising alternative to lithium ion batteries (LIBs) on account of abundant sodium resources, acceptable energy density, and high safety. Yet, the investigation of non-electrode components is insufficient in this field, and making a comprehensive summary is imperative. Herein, in this review, the authors first introduce the physicochemical properties and current development of organic liquid electrolytes and solid-state electrolytes. Then, the authors emphasize the significance of electrolyte interfaces, including solid electrolyte interphase and cathode electrolyte interphase, during the cyclic process, and reveal the inherent association between interface properties (e.g. stability, components, and structures) and the electrochemical characteristics of SIBs. Finally, separators, binders, conductive additives, and current collectors are also discussed and evaluated. With such an analysis, the authors believe this review will provide a guideline for developing advanced SIBs in trap future.
