Abstract 4‐CzIPN is a traditional electron donor and acceptor fluorophore that uses carbazolyl as an electron donating and dicyanobenzene as an electron withdrawing source. Its broad redox potential, high chemical resistance and wide applicability makes it a unique metal‐free photocatalyst. This study summarizes the recent development of 4‐CzIPN as a photoredox catalyst for a variety of heterocyclic construction over last four years (2021‐2024).
