Antibiotics, analgesics and antifungals are commonly implicated in acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis; a retrospective analysis of 1410 cases

Acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP) is a cutaneous adverse reaction commonly triggered by medications. We retrospectively analysed cases of AGEP following monotherapy using the US Food and Drug Administration adverse events reporting database. We found that the majority of the offending agents were antibiotics, analgesics and antifungals, while anticonvulsants, cardiovascular medications and antimalarials were also implicated.
