摘要
Emotion dysregulation can cause abnormalities in human central nervous system, which in turn affect the endocrine, immune, and enteric nervous systems, thus reducing immune capacity and increasing the possibility of tumor induction. Several endogenous peptides and newly discovered food-derived exogenous peptides have been found could regulate emotions. This review discussed how peptides from various sources regulate emotions and gut microbiota through mechanisms like the microbiota-gut-brain axis, immune pathways, and metabolic pathways. It also analyzed the connection between emotions and gut microbiota and their effects on tumorigenesis and cancer therapy. And also discussed the potential use of emotion-regulating peptides in treating tumors, concluded these peptides from various sources can serve as signaling molecules in the microbiota-gut-brain axis for emotion regulation. Future research will prioritize studying how peptides regulate emotions to treat depression and prevent/treat tumors.
