PROGRESS OF UV PHOTOGRAFTING ON IMPROVING THE SURFACE PROPERTIES OF POLYMER

Surface modification of polymers has received a great deal of attention during the last two decades. UV photografting is focused on because of the low cost of apparatus and its selectivity. The development of modifying polymeric surface through UV initiated graft polymerization was reviewed. The methods of photografting, experimental factors that effecting photografting were introduced in details. At the same time, the application prospect and further researching direction of surface UV photografting were also discussed.
