A photocatalytic system containing Eosin Y,multiwalled carbon nanotubes(MWNTs) and CuO/CoO(Eosin Y-MWNTs-CuO/CoO) was fabricated.Photocatalytic hydrogen evolution over the system was investigated using triethanolamine as a sacrificial reagent. The results display that Eosin Y-MWNTs-CuO/CoO is an efficient photocatalyst with the highest rate of 403.1 μmol·g-1·h-1 for H2 evolution under visible irradiation.Meanwhile, the photocatalytic hydrogen evolution was studied as function of reaction conditions, such as content of CuO/CoO,molar ratio of CuO to CoO,pH value of the solution, respectively.Furthermore, the photocatalytic mechanism is discussed.
