Objective:To establish a HPLC method for the determination of cinnamaldehyde and cinnamic acid in Bawei Rougui Capsules.Methods:Cinnamic acid and cinnamaldehyde in Bawei Rougui Capsules were determined by HPLC,using kromasil Cl8 column,acetonitrile-0.1%phosphoric acid(22:78) as the mobile phase,the detection wavelength was 285nm.The flow rate was 1.0 mL·min-1.Results:The calibration curves were linear in the range of 0.0042~0.0420 mg·mL-1 for cinnamic acid (r=0.9999) and 0.1224~1.2240 mg· mL-1 for cinnamaldehyde (r=0.9999),respectively.The average recoveries were 98.28%(RSD=1.40%) for cinnamic acid and 98.35%(RSD= 1.32%) for cinnamaldehyde.Conclusion:The method is simple,rapid,accurate and repeatable.It can be used for the quality control of Bawei Rougui Capsules.
