Assessment and control of calcium carbide consumption in PVC production

The calcium carbide consum ption situations in various processes of PVC production were described. Control measures were put forward,including controling ash content of calcium carbide purchased into factory,reducing calcium carbide weathering loss,recovering acetylene in overflow liquor,upper storage hopper and waste sodium hypochlorite,and recovering high-boiling residues,etc.
