Studies on the Oocyte Enucleation of Yanbian Yellow Cattle

The modified Willadsen's and McGrath - Solter's enucleation methods were used in the study to remove the nuclei of oocytes of Yanbian Yellow cattle, and the enucleation efficiency of both methods were compared as well. The results showed that the modified Willadsen's method, squeezing enucleation, was superior to the McGrath-Solter's method in enucleation time (1 min per oocyte) (P0. 05) and the enucleation efficiency (94%) (P0. 01), which suggested that the modified Willadsen's method is a rapid, simple and practical enucleation method to remove the nucleus of oocyte of Yanbian yellow cattle.
