Reproductive Outcomes in Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART): Philippine Experience

Objectives: To determine the success rates of assisted reproductive technology (ART) performed in 2007 at the Center for Reproductive Medicine and to determine the factors that contribute to a successful outcome. Design: Cross-sectional study of couples undergoing ART treatment during 2007. Main outcome measures: clinical pregnancy, live birth, and singleton live birth. Results: A total of 51 ART cycles were done in 2007. There were 38 IVF/ICSI cycles. The clinical pregnancy rate was 39.5% and the live birth rate was 31.6%. There were no multiple births. There were 13 FET cycles with no clinical pregnancy. The mean age of patients with positive clinical pregnancy was 32.9 while those with negative clinical pregnancy was 36.4 (p=0.016). Conclusion: For 2007, the CRM success rate was 39.5% with no multiple births. Age is an important determinant of the success rate.
