The Impact on Serum iPTH with Hemoperfusion and Hemodialysis Series

Purpose: Research the effect of the clearance of serum parathyroid hormone (PTH) through hemoperfusion and/or hemodialysis. Methods:The 32 cases of hemodialysis patients are randomly divided into two groups: hemodialysis group (HD), hemoperfusion + hemodialysis group (HP + HD). Compare the clearance rate of serum PTH in a single treatment between the two groups. Results: The PTH drops after therapy of the two groups. The values of P were less than 0.05. However the effect of therapy with the two groups is different. HP+HD group drops obviously (p0.05).Conclusion: HP+HD can remove PTH more effective than HD.
