Glioma is one of the highest vascularized tumors in human.Angiogenesis and vascular development are considered to be associated with growth, invasiveness and malignant progress of glioma. Endothelial cells play very important roles in the angiogenic process of glioma. The interactions between tumor cells and endothelial cells are the key factors of tumor angiogenesis.Large number of angiogenic factors and growth factors and microenvironmental factors are involved in regulation of tumor angiogenesis. With further researches including tissue remodeling techniques, the mechanism of normal and pathologic angiogenesis will be elucidated and finally the mechanism of angiogenesis in glioma will be clear too.
