Queuing Scheduler Mechanism has a close relation with Quality of Service(QoS).In order to satisfy individual requirements,QoS network must implement some queuing discipline.Based on introduction to five scheduling algorithms,Drop-tail,Round Robin,Packet Fair Queuing,Class Based Queuing and Random Early Detection,from modeling and simulation on NS-2,the effects of different scheduling algorithms on QoS and their cha-racteristics are researched.According to their characteristics,the results are given that different scheduling algorithms have their optimum conditions.
