The article reviewed the technological development of molybdenum metallurgy in recent years,such as producing technical molybdenum oxide from molybdenum concentrate by fluidized roasting furnace,two stage fluidized roasting furnace and microwave furnace;producing technical molybdenum oxide and chemical grade molybdenum trioxide from low grade molybdenum concentrate by the MAP method;producing high purity molybdenum trioxide using the sublimed method;converting molybdenum powder into H2MoO4 solution,and drying after eliminating the impurity by cation exchange resin,then hydrogen deoxidizing the powder to obtain high-purity molybdenum powder with low U and Th elements.
