Effects of Anti-thrombus Components of Herba Siegesbeckiae on Platelet Aggregation

Objective To observe the effects of anti-thrombus components of Herba Siegesbeckiae on platelet aggregation.Methods After oral administration of anti-thrombus components of Herba Siegesbeckiae to blood-stasis rats induced by ADP,the platelet aggregation,including cAMP and cGMP levels in platelet,and plasma thromboxane B2(TXA2) 6-Keto-PGF1α level,were observed to study the possible anti-thrombotic mechanisms.Results The anti-thrombus components can inhibit platelet aggregation possibly by increasing the cAMP/cGMP level in platelet,decreasing plasma thromboxane B2 level.Conclusion The anti-thrombus components can inhibit platelet aggregation.
