An Interference Effect of Berberine and Baicalin on Glucose Oxidase Assay in Determination of the Content of Glucose

Objective: To investigate the interference effect of berberine and baicalin on glucose oxidase assay in determination of the content of glucose. Methods: To determine glucose concentration of medium containing different concentrations of berberine and baicalin by the method of glucose oxidase. Results: There was no significant change between the berberine group and the control( P 0. 05),indicating that berberine and baicalin themselves at the concentration( 1 ~ 200 μmol / L) used in the experiment do not cause interference. Conclusion: The experimental results indicated that berberine and baicalin themselves at the concentration( 1 ~ 200 μmol/L) used in the experiment do not cause interference.
