Application of Increasing Pipeline Testing Pressure Factor Method in Long Distance Pipeline

Transport efficiency can be improved by increasing operating pressure and with other pipeline specifications in same.For larger diameter pipeline,the benefit of this method is even better.High pressure water test can be used to verify the pipeline strength,define the guideline for increasing pipeline operating pressure.Pipeline testing method of increasing test pressure factor was applied in Yining-Khorgos gas pipeline project.The successful application of increasing test pressure factor method lays the foundation for long term safe operation and further increasing operating pressure and efficiency of Yining-Khorgos pipeline.The result also provides a guideline for pressure test of high grade steel,large diameter,high pressure pipelines in future.
