Objective To explore the effect of growth hormone on endometrial receptivity and in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer(IVF-ET) clinical outcome in patients who had maldevelopment endometrium. Methods Totally 67 patients who were failed in previous IVF-ET treatment because of maldevelopment endometrium from Dec.2007 to Dec.2010 were divided into two groups randomly, study group consisted of 32 cases with using GH and the control group consisted of 35 cases without using GH.The endometrium and clinical outcome of the two groups was Observed. Results The endometrial thickness and the type of endometrium on the day of HCG in study group were significantly improved than those the control group(P0.05).There were no statistical differences between the two groups on the number of oocytes retrieved and good embryos(P0.05).After using GH,the clinical pregnancy rate was significantly improved in study group than the control group(P0.05).Conclusions Growth hormone may improve the thickness of endometrium and the type of endometrium in patients who have maldevelopment endometrium.GH can improve the clinical pregnancy rate perhaps through affecting the endometrial receptivity.
